Awareness Stunt

Message in a bottle

The ‘Bottle’ was devised to raise awareness amongst War on Want supporters of the problems caused by privatising the water supply in developing countries and to prompt them to lobby the UK Secretary of State for a change in government policy.

The bottle was distributed to the audience at a War on Want forum .

After the drinking water was consumed the recipient put the signed help message   inside, placed a stamp on the address label and posted it to the Secretary of State.

“Bottle“ encouraged 90% of the audience to take part, resulting in hundreds of signed empty water bottles at the Secretary of State’s offices. Not only creating much greater impact than a letter, but also affording opportunities for PR coverage.
